Go Bears! Arkansas Children's Hospital (ACH) is pleased to partner with the University of Central Arkansas (UCA) in the 2008 charity football game. UCA will host the University of California at Davis on September 6, 2008 at Estes Stadium in Conway, Arkansas. ACH will receive $2 from all general admission ticket sales for this game only. Tickets can be purchased by visiting the UCA Athletics website at www.ucasports.com. Come out and support two outstanding central Arkansas organizations, and remember to wear your PURPLE SHIRTS! Go Bears!

Committee for the Future, a young professionals organization that supports ACH, will host its annual Castaways Party on Sunday, Sept. 7 from 6 -9 p.m. at Pleasant Valley Country Club. This island-themed event will feature live music, and extensive live and silent auctions. Castaways is held each year in conjunction with the Committee for the Future Golf Classic

The Committee for the Future Golf Classic is an annual golf tournament held at Pleasant Valley Country Club. The golf tournament, scheduled this year for Monday, Sept. 8, will kick-off with morning and afternoon shotgun starts. The four-person scramble is expected to involve more than 200 players.

Don’t miss the 2nd annual Cabot Fall Festival at Greystone benefiting Arkansas Children’s Hospital. This weekend-long event will feature a golf tournament, 5k run, nationally sanctioned chili cook-off, live music and family entertainment. Country music star, Buddy Jewell, will entertain crowds on Saturday, September 27 beginning at 6 p.m. Visit www.greystonecharitableevents.org.
Horseshoe Bend Invitational Featuring the LPGA Legends of Golf
The Legends Pro-Am will be the culminating event of a community weekend in Horseshoe Bend. Activities designed for families and area residents will fill the last weekend of September with the Legends Pro-Am finale on Monday. Additional activities include a one-day clinic and putting challenge. The LPGA Legends Tour at Horseshoe Bend marks only the second event featuring the LPGA in Arkansas in over 50 years. Miracle Ball will be held Saturday, Dec. 13 in Children’s Hall on the Arkansas Children's Hospital campus. Festivities will begin at 6:30 p.m. and continue until midnight. Cindy and Chip Murphy, as Miracle Ball chairs, are coordinating the event. This event is presented by the ACH Auxiliary, an organization which supports Arkansas Children's Hospital, and the patients and families served, through fundraising and service projects. All proceeds from Miracle Ball 2008 will directly benefit programs at Arkansas Children's Hospital.
